Aside from editorial work for the design/interior magazines - and related subjects from rugs to fireplaces - Tim Beddow has an affinity with and knowledge of both Africa and the Middle East.

His first foray into Africa was with the writer Quentin Crewe for his book ‘IN SEARCH OF THE SAHARA’. Subsequent projects include other books ‘EAST AFRICA’ and ‘SAFARI STYLE’ on the private homes and lodges of Kenya and Tanzania.

‘DAMASCUS, HIDDEN TREASURES OF THE OLD CITY’ (Thames & Hudson) on the decaying palaces of the Old City followed.

Tim has worked closely with decorator Kathryn Ireland on book projects including ‘CLASSIC COUNTRY’ and ‘SUMMERS IN FRANCE’ (2011)

Magazine and hotel assignments have taken him  from the glamorous south of France to the backstreets of Calcutta. He is always up to a challenge. Tim also writes articles regularly for The World of Interiors, Architectural Digest and House & Garden.

Tim Beddow divides time between his base in London and a farmhouse in South West France.
